1993 Other Saturn Models Defroster

My car heater does work in all vents it gets hot in the car. But when I go and put the defroster on the window barely works. I need some ideas how to fix it. And will it be very time comsuming or Am I better off takin it to the shop. I dont want to spend a lot of money so please give me some advise.
