1992 Other Saturn Models timing chain cover removal

im just anting to find out.do i have to remove the valve cover to remove and reseal the timing chain cover gasket on my 1992 saturn sl1 with a 1.9l sohc engine and will i lsoe much oil.

yes, you will have to remove the valve cover. but if you plan to take off the timing chain cover, you will need a special oil seal replacement tool SA9104E or equivalent to retain the crankshaft timing sprocket to prevent damage to the timing chain guides.
