2003 Saturn L300 speedometer and RPM dial

Computer problem
2003 Saturn L300 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic ? miles

the speedometer and RPM dials goes all the way to the right when starting the car and then comes back to the normal position and the milage is wrong on the car it shows 98000 when this started we only had 53000 miles on the car. what is the problem ?
