2001 Saturn L300 Turn signal / headlight dimmer lever

My turn signal / headlight dimmer lever seems to turn my headlights on high when i press the turn signal lever to make a left or right turn. I'd like to change this lever myself but don't really know what to take loose. I'm pretty good at do it yourself projects but don't have any instructions on how to remove the cover to get at the switch to replace it. Any suggestions? Also where is a good place other than the dealer to purchase one of them?

the switch is easy to replace u just pop off the top of the column cover unplug the switch and theres two tabs u press in slide it out slide the new one in plug it back in and put the cover back on.i dont know of anyone else that sells the switch except the dealer u can look around if u want.i looked it up though and it shows the switch is only 35 from the dealer.let me know how it goes.

saturntech9 - I was able to purchase the switch from my local dealer for about $40.00. I followed your detailed instructions and had the switch replaced with in 10 minutes. It was very easy. thank you very very much.
