Steering problem
Saturn L200 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 164650 miles

There was a small trace of smoke with an odor of burning plastic coming from behind the steering wheel of my car. After shutting the car off, the car headlights flickered. Any idea of what may the problem?

Sound's like the headlight switch is bad.Really common on that model saturn.Wiggle the switch from high beam to low beam and see if it work's and also if you can get more smoke. Most likely that's your problem though the head light switch.
