Engine Mechanical problem
2003 Saturn L200 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I recently had my car checked out by a saturn dealership, and they told me that my timing chain would need to be replaced because it won't start. If the timing has jumped out of time or if the chain is broken is the engine close tolerance that it could have bent a valve?

Yes valve to piston contact will occure if engine was at speed when chain went.
