2001 Saturn L200 Battery Light is on and Air is out

Air Conditioning problem
2001 Saturn L200 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 105000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My Battery light came on this morning while driving, and my air is blowing, but the air is not cooling. It has been squeaking for a few days when you turn the air or heat on, but then would go away.

Do you still have power steering? Check the belt to be sure it is still there and that the tensioner is holding the belt tight.The light means the alt isnt charging the battery, since the a/c isnt working it may be the belt or the fact that the system voltage is too low to run the a/c compressor since the alt isnt working
