Hi, I recently bought a used saturn. I've taken it to get smogged and the emissions passed with flying colors. But there is a second test on the monitor system to ensure it is functioning properly. Mine appears to be disabled in some way. A few "non-continuous" monitors are in the "ready" status, but four others are not. The tech recommended to me that I drive 25 miles and come back. I've done that twice and the same tests are "not ready" both times. The tests: Catalyst, Oxygen Sensor, EGR System and the Evaporative System. I doubt it is the electrical system due to a lack of any other symptoms. Any clue? Is it that the comp. chip is acting up? P.S. The continuous monitors are all in "ready" status.

Hi, the monitors do not set because the engine is not up to operating temp, check the engine thermostat, and get back to me. Thanks for using 2carpros.com
