2002 Saturn L100 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 168000 miles

The cooling fan keeps running and wont stop even after the car has been off for hours. What is wrong and how do I fix this.

check for faulty cooling fan relay(s) , replace if needed. if relay(s) OK then check engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor
