My oil light came on saying that I need to change it. I just got an oil change last month, and I have not driven 3000 miles. What is the problem?

Hello,

It appears that the oil change place might not have reset the oil light when they changed the oil.
It is very simple to do on your vehicle.
Turn your key to the "on" position (do not start it). Give it a few seconds for all the chimes to stop. Then depress the accelerator pedal 3 times. This will reset the light.

Here is a video shows how to perform this effectively:

Is this method does not work on your vehicle try this method:

First, press and release the trip/reset button until the Oil Life message is displayed.
Then press and hold the trip/reset button until a chime sounds five times, and 'reset' is displayed in the message center. When the system is reset, the odometer will again be displayed in the message center.
Turn the ignition key to lock.

Let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
