2006 Saturn Ion What is the problem?

I own a saturn Ion and about every 30-35,000 miles we have the transmission fluid changed. The other night the car stopped driving. It will reverse, but will not drive. We can't figure out what is wrong and we are out of warranty. Help!!!

can you tell me if it's a 4 speed transmission or a ECVT transmission?
