I AM HAVING A PROBLEM IN THE COLD THE CAR WONT START BUT AFTER 15 MIN. OR SO IT WILL WAS TOLD IT WAS THE IGNITION SWITCH. IM JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO RESET THE SECURITY SYSTEM WHEN I CHANGE THE IGNITION SWITCH OR DO I EVEN HAVE TO OR IS IT SOMETHING THE DEALERS TELL U JUST TO BRING THE CAR IN TO PAY AN ARM AND LEG FOR THE REPAIR ANY INFORMATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED THANK YOU

When u replace the ignition switch u just have relearn the new passlock in the switch u don't need any special tools to learn it.replace the switch and with the new switch in turn the key to start postion and release it to the run postion don't turn it off ur security will flash or stay on solid when turns off or stops flashing u can time to so u know when to happen takes ten mins after that happens repeat the same procedure three times total after three times ur new switch is learned.but don't turn the key off before each cycle is complete or u will have to start all over.hope this helps let me know it comes ok.also donations and feedback are greatly apprecated.
