Saturn 95 SL1 How do I read the codes?

When I first start off in drive I hear a sound like squealing and then it stops. I read the code and after the initial 3 sets of 3 it just blinks twice. It doesn't want to shift or go into reverse easily. What could this be?

The first flash is the the first digit like one flash followed by two flashs is a code 12 that code would repeat 3 times.Then on to the next code the transmission codes will flash out of your low coolant hot light not your check engine light.Let me know what code numbers you have.
