Saab 9-5

4 cylinder turbo

Currently when driving when I release the brake a whistling noise (sounds like air is coing from behind the pedal) occurs as I let off brake. If I am accelerating it does not occur.
Please advise?

Does it provide power while braking? this is the check valve or a shaky diaphram in the booster...check valve is at the end of the vacuum hose that attaches to the booster, take it out and try sucking thru it both ways, air should travel in one direction only! If it's the diaphram, drive tell the brakes get hard...EXPENSIVE!
