1997 SAAB 900 Shuts off

Open the hood, look at the large diameter hose that comes from the turbo into a L shapa black hard plastic valve that the other end goes to the intake aluminum pipe into the injection system. That valve is called Turbo bypass valve 4441895 ($75 from dealer or free from Junk yard). This valve apparently gives a false signal to the computer about gasoline leak and it is programmed to shut the fuel system OFF.
