car idles and dies while in park

i just got the air hoses replaced as they were cracked and was told it was fixed. i parked at a grocery store and the car started to idle really weird and died as i turned off the car. it's really hot here i'm not sure if maybe that's why. i have no ac.

When you say air hoses, are you referring to the vacuum hoses? As far as the idle, that could be caused by a vacuum leak or the idle air control valve (IAC). The IAC is responsible for maintaining the engine idle. Let me know what hoses were replaced so I better understand.

It was the air intake hoses I think. Sorry I'm not a car person. The guy said these hoses are responsible for the gas concentration and at the time it was running high. I think the hoses are attached to some kind of air sensor. I hope that helpa

Yes, the air intake would have a Mass Air Flow sensor in it. However, based on your description, I would check for vacuum leaks and check the IAC.
