Engine Cooling problem
1997 Saab 900 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have located a leak in my cooling system that is not one of the usual suspects....I've worked on a few SAABs but I never had to deal with this part in particular.
The leak is right next to the air conditioning lines on the firewall, a little to the passenger side. About an inch or two away from the AC lines is a two-bolt housing(almost like a small thermostat housing) with a short L-shaped section of hose coming out that tapers and just ends there. Can anyone fill me in on what this part is and what function it serves? The leak is coming from there and if there's a seal or gasket there I need to change it...

that sounds like the water drain for the AC evaporator.
if it's just plain water coming out, then that's normal when you have the AC on.

if you really do have antifreeze coming out, then the heater core has a leak.
