This is a self adjusting cable whcih I have connected to the pedal and instructions say to connect at the other end i should use a pry bar to force the clutch arm back so the cable will reach. The clutch arm does not want to move. Any advice on how the clutch arm shoud behave or how mcuh force I should be willing to use to move the arm?

Don't pry against where the battery rests. Use a good pry bar and get it down to the strong metal directly below the arm. Good leverage makes all the difference. Your not going to break the arm... put some muscle into it! =)
