1996 Saab 900 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I Have a 1996 Saab 900s 5 speed manual

selonoid may have died
can you please tell me when you crank the saab to start and turn over it makes a whizzing zipping noise is that the starter motor gone or selonoid or both or is it something else

replce the starter motor and check the flywheel teeth when starter is removed from vehicle !

not the starter motor inspected timing belt and it had threaded on outside not in half Fraying. but the tensioner had froze. mechanic has been replaced timing belt kit and still wont start. She turns over and back fires.

Did you check for bent valves ?? compression test the cylinders .. or you could be a tooth off on the timing !!
