How do you remove the alternator? I have the new one but am having trouble getting the old one off. HELP!

Hi,
Remove drive belt and belt tensioner;remove alternater upper bolt;remove catalytic converter;remove alternater lower bolt;remove it from place; put a bar between gear box and the frame to get a bit more room.
