2000 Saab 9-5 Automatic

When getting an oil change, do the mechanics add oil to shocks if low? Is there something that disperses oil to my shocks that would be under the car's hood?

OIl is sealed in shock/strut it is not serviced when struts oil seal fails oil is seen on strut time to replace
