1999 Saab 9-5 p0327 knock sensor fault???

I have already replaced the ignition casset with a brand new unit.
still getting this fault and also random missfires
anything would be helpful

Can be as simple as a bad spark plug...there is no knock sensor on these, and this code really refers to the Ignition module's measurement of plug resistance. Read this...

ignition discharge unit? is that what you replaced?

yes the discharge unit
I have pin tested the harness all wire check ok between ecm and coil
