1999 SAAB 9-5 manual transmission

To check your manual trans fluid level u will need a 10mm allen key type socket & handle, to locate fill plug & drain plug, u need to look from the driver side, looking at gearbox locate where axle is connected to trans, now look to your right, looki carefully u will see the allen key fit filler plug & under that plug to the bottom u see the drain plug same 10mm allen key fit bolt, but be warned u can only use saab approved manual syn type fluid do not mix any other type trans fluid u will destroy transmission bearings. Trust me I have rebuilt enough of them to tell u. Good luck.
