1996 Saab 9-5 ignition swich fault ?

Hi.
the above saab started letting the ignition key come out without being in reverse gear. I put it in reverse over the weekend & now cannot get it out or turn the ignition key,
Is it a fault with the gear area or the ignition switch

Hello!
From what you describe,your cylinder key(ignition)need to be repleced.Go to your dealer, take with you the car s Register,and order a new cylinder!
