At 28,000 miles my wife paid for rear pads and rotors. She does NOT drive with the emergency brake on and is pretty gentle with her "baby". Her commute is 30 miles daily on the hwy.
Now she's advised by Saab to replace front rotors and pads. MY question is - do the 04 Saab's usually wear rear's before fronts? I never heard of such a thing. The svc manager said the '04-06 Saab's wear evenly. Please clarify. I will pull the wheels off myself to check the pad wear today.
regards,
Ray

Should be at about the same time, the rear pads are made a bit thinner, because the rears do a bit less work. 28,000 sounds about right tho.

Usually the front barkes wear fast then the rear.
The rear pads usully last more than couple of years. That why ar more small pads and rotors then the front.
On the fron the pad and the rotors are biger because the motor is in the front. You should not ge the front pads or the rotors and less are wear or make noise.
The dealer said it want to make money.
You should take off the rear wheels and check the brakes your self.
