I purchased this car in April '08. I had a problem with the left headlight so I took it to the Saab dealer and they replaced the bulb in Oct. I had the same problem in Nov, they replaced the bulb again. It happened in Dec as well. I figured at this point it must be something wrong with the wiring or the socket. Should I take it to a have it checked at an electrical place or just go to a mechanic?

is your saab a 2003 sport sedan & is it the old body style 9-3 ,if it is the new body style you will need to replace the headlamp wiring harness ,there is is kit available for that fix ,it is normally the ground wiring inside the lamp that is connected to the bulb connecter that is burnt out which causes the problem ,check that .

Its better to replace to whole headlight rather than just changing the bulb. Just my 2 cents.
