2002 Saab 9-3 repair Question

i have saab 2.2tid, started to service the car but noticed the oil filter i brought was different to what i expected. expected hard case twist off type. got honeycone one, after comfirming it was the right one with the shop, i have no idea where it goes

I believe you have an air filter not an oil filter
