2002 Saab 9-3 repair Question

I am am currently looking at a SAAB 9-3 to purchase, but it has a upper lift tick(so says the description). What does this mean? What would need to be replaced? Lifters? Timing belt while I'm at it? What would generally be the cost of something like that?

YES ,u will need to replace lifters ,some what difficult to pin point noisy lifter so it is recommended to change all ,but before all that ,get engine checked for sludge build up inside engine, get valve cover removed & check before u buy if not & there is sludge u will be sorry ,expensive call your local saab dealership ,or check this web site called [ thesaabsite.com ] they have cheaper price then dealership ,if u want a cylinder head or a engine check this site [goldwingsaab, com] they sell everything for saabs ,good luck.
