2001 SAAB 9-3 repair Question LOSING POWER

I WAS DRIVING MY SAAB AND IT START LOSING POWER TO WHERE I HAD TO DROP GEARS TO GET HOME WHICH WAS A MILE AWAY, I OPENED THE BONNET AND FOUND THE AIR FLOW METER PLUG OFF I PUT THE PLUG BACK ON AND IT WOULDNT START. A MONTH LATER I TRIED THE BATTERY WAS FLAT I TRIED TO JUMP START IT BUT THE STARTER MOTOR WOULDNT TURN OVER IVE BEEN TOLD THE CAR NEEDS RESETTING COULD YOU TELL ME IF THATS RIGHT PLEASE. THANKS

Need to know codes and is it really a 6 cyl, what country r u in, sure not the usa if it has a 6 cyl engine in a 2001 saab 9-3 model, check if not a 9-5 model, post back with corrections.
