Rust underneath vehicle

Just purchased this vehicle, took in to mechanic for a rattle which was identified as a heat shield rattle which was fixed. However, I was told this vehicle has a lot of heavy rust, corrosion frame suspension. Help, please advise. Do not have an image yet.

Yikes! Heavy rust/corrosion can be a major problem! If the rust/corrosion of the frame is affecting where the suspension components attachment points are that could be dangerous. Attach photos if/when you can.
