Very hard to start and when it starts it revs high and low, but will not idle.

Try cleaning throttle plate on both sides and IAC hole with choke cleaner then check for vacuum leaks like hoses broken etc. If check engine light on then have it scanned for codes and get back to us auto parts does for free.
