So I have been asking a lot of questions lately because this truck has me dumb founded. I fix one problem and my next problem comes. My truck runs and sounds great but as soon as I put it in gear she dies not shutter and dies but literally as soon as I put it in gear it stops all of a sudden I think it might be the torque converter but before I rip everything out does anyone have any ideas?

Due to age and alcohol in fuel try overhauling the carburetor first and checking for vacuum leaks like broken hoses etc.

Good fix, yes the torque converter can fall apart internally causing the problem you have described.

Glad we could get it fixed please use 2CarPros. Com anytime we are here to help
