Running hot

The fans did not turn on when I bought this. I hard-wired them through a toggle switch to the battery. I also replaced the radiator fan control relay near the radiator and checked that the one in the fuse box was good. It still runs hot and the block especially gets hot. Any suggestions will be helpful.

Hello,

This could be a problem with your vehicle's thermostat. The thermostat let's the coolant get to a certain temperature before opening and letting the coolant circulate to cool. This is done so that your vehicle will have a heater and defroster. If it gets stuck in the closed position, the coolant won't be allowed to circulate and your engine will overheat.
