My car was running very hot. I returned home with no steam or smoke coming out of front thermostat on dash was just in the red. Allowed to cool for a bit, but it was not enough and when I removed cap antifreeze gushed out everywhere. I let it all cool off for about three hours rinsed the engine off to remove the antifreeze. Filled radiator reservoir back up, think I topped off radiator enough, but now my check engine light is on and car is shuddering when I attempt to drive. Help! husband out of town and it is my only vehicle.
