Before replacing the motors on my running boards my steps began to act up. So I put lubricant on the pivoting points and same result passenger side would only extend 1/4 to 1/2 way then stop. Driver side was working fine but decided to change that motor as well since the passenger side was failing only matter of time before it went. After replacing both motors passenger side is the same 1/4 to 1/2 Driver side now will go down but will stay down for a long time I can feel it retract as I'm driving. I did not drop the running board assembly as a whole unit I simply just replaced the motors (simply).

This could be a couple things but I suspect the module is the issue.

First thing to do is check for codes as that will tell us if we have a sensor/switch issue.

If there are no codes, I am attaching the testing below that we need to run through in order to figure this out.

Here is a guide that will help with the electrical testing:

Please run through this info and let us know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
