Ruff running

The jeep sounds like it isn't getting enough gas, and then it pegs out the rpm meter.. I changed out the fuel pump, and it is still running the same... I did notice the cad converter is glowing red after a couple of minutes running.. Does this mean it is plugged and need to be replaced??

it may but it also may be running lean. scan for codes first
