I just put a reman engine in this vehicle, v6, 3.0 flex fuel. I feel the rpms in park are too high. They are currently around 950 to 1000 with engine warm, 1500 with cold engine. I know the computer will set the rpm, but could the issue be the throttle position sensor? I have put over 2000 miles on this engine, new trans October 2012. Thanks

It could be a few things but you will need a professional scan tool to be able to see all that data and make a judgement.

Check it over good for vacuum leaks before anything else.
