Hello,

I just replace a new TPS, MAP, and Air Control Valve sensor. Yesterday, I also had a mechanic shop put in a new oxygen sensor. When I start up the motor and its in Park or in a neutral, it sounds like the RPM is higher pitch than normal, but when I put it in first gear or reverse, it goes back to a normal rpm pitch. Please help and thanks!

You may have a vacuum leak at the inlet manifold, do you have access to a scanner with live data? Can you give me some accurate RPM readings at idle and in gear?

Thanks! The RPM meter goes up to #2 in my dash board and when I put it in drive and reverse. It goes down to below # 1. Yes, I do have access to a live data.

I would be looking for a vacuum leak first, spray a little brake clean around the manifold a the engine will rev up if you hit a vacuum leak.
