1979 Other Rover Models Engine stuttering under load

1979 Other Rover Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have a rover V8 in my kit car.

When engine heats up to proper running temperature ( not overheating) when the revs get to about 3000rpm the engine stutters and I loose power.

What causes this?

check fuel pressure .. add a good fuel cleaner to the tank to clean the lines and carb and change the fuel filter !
