2000 Rover 75 locked back door

Electrical problem
2000 Rover 75 Automatic

After we bought the car we didnt realise that we couldnt open one of the doors from outside.We could only open from inside. Now by mistake(?!) we put the child lock on and cant open neither from inside nor outside! What can I do to solve this problem? Thanks

The outside door handle linkage has probably popped off inside the door .. you will need to remove the inner door panel and open the door .. not an easy task with the door closed but it can be done ..!! hope this helps
