my w reg rover 45 keeps popping out of gear. what is the most likely problem?

hi there,

weak or broken detente spring in selector, worn selector hub, transmission loose on engine, if it tends to pop out under over run, i.e. throttle off down a slight down grade, normally a worn of defective synchro hub in the transmission.
