1996 Rover 4 Series overheating

car has been loosing water for some time, no sign of leaks, no blue smoke from exhaust, no sign of water in oil, put in radweld now car overheats after a few miles, help please

have a compression test of the cylinders carried out .. suspect headgasket failure .. a common fault on this vehicle !
