My rover 25 front passenger door won't open, have got the panel off as much has i can the rod is still in place but i still cant get the door unlocked. ...

there is a seperate rod for the lock mechanism .. check the plastic plug is not broken .. you can unlock the door by getting your habd upto the lock mechanism and pulling/pushing on arm that the rod should clip into !!
