Engine Cooling problem
2002 Rover 25 Front Wheel Drive Manual 25000 miles

hi my mum bought a rover 25 about six months ago and everything was fine till recent we noticed when putting car in garage the fan on engine was kicking in was not even travelling far so i check oil/water all full and no sense of water and oil mix. you can be in car for five mins and the heating needle will shoot up to the top but not giving out hot air from heater always blowing cold. went back to deal and said some engines run hotter then other please help

start by having the cylinders compression tested ..also have a technician check thermostat and water pump are working correctly
