2002 Rover 25 Two Wheel Drive Manual 74,000 miles

hi I have a rover 25 its a 1400 three door. I reasontly put a new set of coils and sparkplugs in as the coils had melted but after I put the new set in withing the first hour or so it happend again. I notticed that the block ware the coils sit was piping hot. Their was recently a new bore exhaust put on the car but that was of an evo 8 could that possibly be the cause of whats wrong.

The car must be running way too hot . This is what is melting the coils.

Start by checking oil level is correct and is good oil. Renew with a thicker grade oil if necassary. Check the coolant level is correct and use a good anti-freeze to aid cooling. Also check you are not getting fuel burning in the new bore exhaust manifold !

You need to buy another exhaust (standard or big bore) that was made for the rover 25 series !
