2002 Rover 25 Cam carrier and Head Gasket

After 2 head gasket replacements in 7 months a 3rd breakdown was attributed to the cam carrier. Was this cam carrier problem caused by the repeated head gasket faults?

the camshafts have to be removed when replcaing the head gasket .. I cannot comment on whether they were incorrectly refitted or damaged during the gasket replacements .. suffice to say it is a possibility ..!!
