2002 Rover 25

fOR THE SECOND TIME IN A YEAR, THE ALARM SYSTEM IS PLAYING UP. IT ALLOWS ME TO UNLOCK THE CAR BUT WHEN I ATTEMPT TO START IT,THE ALARM BEEPS AND IMMOBILISES IT. THIS SUDDENLY OCCURS. LAST TIME I CHANGED THE BATTERY IN THE HANDSET TO NO AVAIL AND HAD TO CALL SOMEONE OUT. I ENDED UP WITH THEM RESETTING THE SYSTEM AND PROVIDING NEW KEYS. TWICE IN A YEAR WOULD TEND TO INDICATE A PROBLEM WITH THE SYSTEM SURELY.
ANY IDEAS

this is a common fault on the rover models .. you can disable the immobolizer system if you have the four digit code which is printed in the handbook ... not the radio code ... if you do not have this code you will need to call someone out again i'm afraid
