I recently picked up a 1954 Chrysler Windsor with a LM7 5.3 Gen 3 swap out of a 2001 Silverado, I believe. It idles fine but runs bad on acceleration. Purge valve is abandoned. No wires or vacuum lines. No charcoal canister. No vac line to fuel pressure regulator either. I installed a vacuum line to FPR from intake manifold. No change. I'm going to try the carburetor cleaner trick for vacuum leaks tomorrow. Anything else I should look at? Thanks

I checked the fuel pressure at the rail. It is around 55 PSI with no change on acceleration.

Way cool! sweet car can you upload some picks? Also, I would install a new set of spark plugs and coils they go out often on these engines.

Here is a swap we did in our shop:

This guide may help as well:

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Thanks, Ken.

I just located the OBD2 port under the carpet under the seat. Going to scan it tomorrow and see what codes pop up. I’ll keep posting my progress. I have new spark plugs, coils and wires coming this week. Checking vacuum tomorrow too. Love your video and project car. Thanks for your reply.

Wow, super cool ride. Thanks for the image. I think the plugs and coil will fix it, also don't forget to install new plug wires as well.
