rough idling engine light on

My traction control and stabiltrack and engine light is on in my Encore and it drives rough and it is making a weird crackling sound. I replace two catalytic converters, changed spark plugs, timing chain, valve covers, and it still doing the same thing, I am mentally drain and so are my pockets. what do you think it could be? every time the codes read something I fixed it causing me to spend thousands of dollars. I am so tired of this lemon and cannot afford to buy a new car.
