I bought this truck from an auction and just got it home 2 days ago. I has a rough idle on start up (but only sometimes, not every time I start it). Its power and acceleration is poor, and sometimes at stop lights it feels like it is going to stall. When I got it from the auction the dash said that the oil change is required and the oil change was 3000km (2000m) over due. I have heard that it is possible to "fix" the problems if I correct the oil pressure problem with regular synthetic light weight oil changes and a "Sea foam" engine cleaner. I just buy and sell these vehicles and so I am looking for the best low price option to get it fixed.

Good afternoon,

Is the check engine light on?

I would start by checking the compression. These were common for internal issues.

No, there is no fixing it with oil change and sea foam. Someone gave you bad information.

Remember, this is an auction vehicle. It was there for a reason. If it was simple, the previous owner would have fixed it.
